This allows us to remove the fat deposits under the skin of the neck which distort the definition of the
angles in the chin and neck, and that give us an aspect of fatness and old age. This procedure is for
patients over 18 years old and that have an excess of fat at the level of the neck. It is done through
and incision of 2mm under the chin, a solution is infiltrated in order for the blood vessels in that level
contract and don't bleed after which a small metal tube is inserted through a the incision to remove
the fat, therefore giving the neck a harmonic contour and angles of the mandible. Afterward the
incision is stitched and this is removed seven days later.
This procedure can be done in the doctor's office with local anesthesia or in an operating room with
sedation and local anesthesia; it takes approximately 45 minutes, sick leave is for 5-7 days and the
patient can incorporate to daily activities 2 days after surgery, with minimal cares.
